Stay away from my buck, lol

This eight pointer has been hanging around all season.  One of his tines got broken off wrestling another buck which I'm pretty sure is the same one I took a couple weeks ago.  I saw them going at it, probably seventy-five yards away from me.  This buck got taken down to the ground a few times before he finally gave up and walked away.  I sure hope if another hunter puts their sights on him that they see his broken tine and lets him walk!!  I want him next year when he comes back as a ten pointer!

  I harvested a lot of Bucks in my hunting days I shot perfect eight pointers , spikes, and Y bucks but never got one mounted. Now don't go all off half cocked on me ,  it just was never my cup of tea. Most years I would harvest two deer for our freezer . We boned the whole deer we don't freeze bones, we don't cook bones and we sure don't eat bones either. We make our own bologna's , venison burger and pepper sticks, and we wasted nothing .  I personally see nothing wrong with taking a nice ten pointer and even getting a nice shoulder mount to hang on the wall , it is just not me ! I figure if a deer has got to lay down his life to feed me and my family then I am going to show  him some respect when I dispatch him and when we consume him . PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY , THIS IS JUST THE WAY THAT I DO THINGS ! I am aware of guys wanting that big racked Buck . I have a friend that lives in Virginia owns 58 acres of prime mountain land and I have heard him say he is not going to kill a Buck under ten points and he does this consistently year after year. The back of his house on the wall outside is littered with racks upon racks, one day I counted them 31 racks and a lot of them are ten point Bucks. Inside his house on the mountain he has the walls with mounts everywhere , beautiful mounts however as I said that is just not my cup of tea, it is not for everyone but it is for me. I hope that your Buck survives the winter and he becomes the ten pointer that you seek but there is no guarantee that he won't be an eight pointer again next season , but a much larger Buck he will be. Good luck next year I hope that you harvest him !
