start to season?

I grew up in MD, but am now in Houston.  When can I start dropping traps in the bayous around Galveston and start catching crabs?

open year round in texas. closed in feb. so many days for clean up

3 boats came in 3/12/2021 with 36 bushels over here in MS.they are crabbing couple miles out no crabs in close YET

I haven't seen many in the bayous. I want to go try in the bay. I really want to go crabbing.
