Topsail June 29th - July 1st, 2021

 :hat2:Set out  ( 8 ) 1/2 pots this time and baited with mainly pin fish and croakers. Made 3 pulls with day 1 being the best by far. Ended up catching 78 crabs total with 37 keepers. I caught 7 stone crabs- One was huge ! 8 flounder found their way in with 2 real nice ones. This morning I had 2 flounder in the same pot.   Best pot had 9 total crabs with 7 keepers which is very good for a 1/2 pot. Was suprised

Nice catch Sax, things are picking up for you. Nice pics, those flounder look legal. Thanks for sharing your report.

Hi Greg those flounder actually we not legal sized. I wish I had taken a pic of the cage with 2 in it- never had that happen before. I did have 2 that would have been keepers if the season were open. Probably 16-17 inches. Its amazing they can squeeze into that opening - Pin fish must make them crazy !

Nice catch, wondering - the half size pots seem to be doing better than the full size pots?
