Topsail report July 14-17th 2021

 Out after those lil crawly things that seem elusive. My spots have filled in so bad that I believe my problem lies there. Hard to find anywhere over 4-5 feet without being close to the ICW.  Anyways- set out 3 full sized
pots and 6 ( 1/2 pots ) this time. Made 4 pulls and it wasn't horible- just nothing like a few years back. Caught a total of 103 crabs with 51 keepers. I caught 7 stone crabs- only 1 would have had a legal sized claw if the season was open, 4 flounder- all small this time, 1 pin fish - nice sized and turned into crab bait and an unexpected spadefish. I'm thinking maybe all 1/2 pots on my next outing. Best pot this time had 5 crabs total.
