NJ Crabbing Reports / Good day on the Shrewsbury 9/1...

Hit the Shrewsbury this morning, launched out of the free ramp in Long Branch. Incoming tide, drop lines with chicken thighs. 22 nice keepers, with twice that many throwbacks of females and shorts. Had one hearty soul attempt an armed rebellion. Good thing he didn't know which end of the knife to use.  Beautiful day.

Scratch what I said above. The ramp at Blackberry Bay Park is no longer free. There is one, however, on River Lane in Long Branch that is totally free. Used it today.

Well hello ole friend. Glad to hear you're still haulin them in. It's Lorraine and Tony the Jersey tomatoes. We're heading to CT next week to see family and I thought of you and those delicious CT crabs. Hoping to make a trip to the Gris for a beer and a walk down the dock. Great weather day, not too windy, water clarity good enough. Got about a dozen keepers.
Covered a TON of water, didn't see many today. Not even little ones which is telling.

Just called Ron to see how he's doing. He still has no power (he has a generator) and no internet . Wanted to let everybody know he's doing well and will see us all in two weeks..
