Finally had a free weekend so ventured out to Goodrich’s for some early morning crabbing. Had my nets in by 6:45. I pulled in 6 smalls (non keepers) by 8:00.  After that it seemed like the turtles woke up and took all my bait (chicken necks). I counted 5 and my traps did not stand a chance.  I did bring my fishing pole and was able to leave with a keeper mangrove snapper.  I then ventured to river breeze to do some more fishing and saw a group of crabbers. From the looks of it they were having a slow day with only a handful of keepers. I really hope things turn for the better SOON!

Thanks for the report but sorry to hear the resuts! Its been like that all over. I haven't even been out to try and I have seen no crabbers in my area.

We were on Cocoa Beach last week. I was using my Flea rake every day and these guys showed up in almost every catch. At least there's hope!!
