Pulled my 1st traps last Thursday near NASA RR bridge. Traps had been out for over 2 weeks due to the boat having to go in the shop the day after the traps were set.
3 traps - 3 crabs. Would've had more but some cannibalism took place during the long soak. Did catch 2 HUGE males and a smaller one. They'll be used for bait soon.
But my posting title

??
When we got the traps up in the boat - everything about them wreaked like raw sewage.

It was nasty. The wife didn't want the traps back in the boat at all. We tried splashing the heck out of the traps but the funk remains. The traps have been in the shed since Thursday and although they've dried out in the sun, you can still catch a whiff.
That's some NASTY STUFF. Anyone else experience anything like this in the Indian River?
