Crabbed Little Assawomen Bay on Friday. Beautiful day to crab with light wind and comfortable temperature. The view of Ocean City just made it better. Launched at Mulberry Landing boat ramp around 9:30 am. We were excited to see many crabbers catching crab from the pier as we prepped the boat for launch. Ran 1200 feet of trotline with fresh chicken necks from Master Baiters. The water temperature was 79 degrees and the depth of the set was just 4 to 5 feet. Ran the line back and forth in both directions until 1:30 pm. Ended the day with 53 beautiful crabs with the largest being 7". We probably netted over 200 crabs with many small ones and just short ones. We cooked them up for dinner. They were super sweet and delicious. I Love Crabbing.

How many were females? I personally don't keep them, did you stay in Dirckson Creek?

To answer the previous post I crabbed out in the bay about a half mile southeast of Mulberry Landing ramp. Yes, we did keep the bigger females which accounted to about 15% of our catch.
