Placed traps Tuesday - picked them up today
Trap #1 - Publix Fried chicken parts
Trap #2 - Uncooked Baby Back ribs
Trap #3 - Mullet - Pin Fish - Whiting - Lady Fish
Trap #4 - Mullet - Pin Fish - Whiting - Lady Fish

NOT A SINGLE BLUE CRAB - NONE Embarassed - NADA Embarassed - ZERO Cry Cry Cry

Did catch a dozen Stone Crabs tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Most had legal claws.......they still do! Grin Grin  I was looking for blues to use as bait not dinner.

I have been stopping at the fishing docks in the area and nobody is catching any Blue Crabs!

There's a couple on Youtube I watch who crab the ST Johns alot. I may have to drive up there some time and drop my traps.

I have also seen those You Tube videos also. Look like good sized crabs too!
Interesting! A guy posted on Facebook about big crabs he got in St Augustine!

my cousin was catching reliably at kennedy park with chicken on string, but since the storm has not been able to catch as well....maybe the storm moved them around

The Old Couple Outdoors just posted a new video last night.  They went to their secret spot (I'm desperately trying to figure out the location) and caught 6 nice jimmies and 1 sook on hand lines although one was caught in a cotton string dip net.  One of the jimmies looked like 8+ inches and they all had yellow bellies.   The crabs are still here, they're just hiding.   laugh
