I might be moving to Cochranville PA and was wondering if anyone can recommend any northern MD or northern DE crab houses?  Something rustic or with a waterview would be nice..  Thanks!

Hello Bluclaw, I live in Kennett Sq. pa, and your likely going to have a fair drive to get quality crabs. I assume you are looking for dine in, as you mentioned a water view... Here are my go to locations in the north. None of which have a water view, although Wellwood is near the water...
Conrads, Abingdon MD
The Wellwood in Charlestown, MD
Lestardos Crab House in NewCastle DE
all serve quality crabs.

Since someone ate crabs, others must have eaten spiders as well.  However, they were not tasty.
So afterwards, people stopped eating them.   These people deserve our heartfelt gratitude  Smiley

Maybe re-post, in md crabbing,    we use a boat, and I really do not have a good pier crabbing spot...

Good luck this season.

Water Street Seafood in Havre de Grace; waterfront view.  Offer crabs two ways; with JO or with traditional black pepper dry mustard style, the latter my preference.  Was Price's for years; new ownership and much better.

Actually Water Street view right now is a big pile of rocks.  Havre de Grace is redoing the waterfront for the past few years and for some crazy reason they decided to put a 50 foot pile of boulders right across from water street seafood.   But their crabs are great and hopefully they'll be moving that pile of boulders this year.  View should be beautiful someday.
Call before you go to be sure they have crabs. 443-502-8855

And there's also Woody's on Main St in Northeast, MD.  No water view but good crabs.  But like any crab place always good to call first to be sure they have what you want.  410-287-3541

There is also Hilltop Crab House in Toughkenamon.PA. We go there for the crab cakes and crab soup but always see people eating crabs. Unfortunately no water view.
