Ok, so since I joined this group I have made a few posts here and there about the conditions and catches in spots I frequently visit in Central Florida.. for some reason Nobody else does this on this particular site/region... am I missing something? .. all the other threads are filled Daily with reports.. am I the only guy trekking the river in search of crabs? That can't be true cause I don't get very many.. Let me know , and if I'm missing something here, let me know about that too.. Thanks

There are only a few that regularly post in the Southeast thread. I don't know how many lurkers there are in our area.
Thee are the folks that don't post and are only looking for information.
I didn't see any crabbers in the New Smyrna area this past weekend.

I post when I go out but I haven't been able to go since late May. If it's not the weather then it's my arthritis flaring up. This past weekend we planned to go Saturday but I could barely walk so another weekend spent at home instead of up around Ormond Beach where I wanted to be.

Plankton, I'm planning to go Saturday up around Tomoka park. Ever try it up there? I do pretty good but it is a bit of a drive from Deltona (I live there, too).

There is a place closer than Tomoka called Sanchez Park. We tried there in late April but I was too close to the boat dock and there was a gator under the dock that was freaking my daughter out. Supposed to be a decent spot.

I have never done well at Riverbreeze and while I used to do okay in Oak Hill (on the west side of the road), last few times have been a bust.

Thanks for the info, I've only tried Riverbreeze and I have had some decent luck out there last year.. I've never tried Tomoka so maybe I will check it out, thanks again

I just got back from NSB North Causeway Buena Vista Park.
It's high tide right now and there is a family of three crabbing with three ring traps with chicken.
In three hours they caught 12 crabs!
