I have a secret honey hole on a small river off the Delaware. I haven't crabbed there for a while because all my boats are down in Chincoteague. I just finished a new crabbing boat (new to me) for upstate and took it to the honey hole Saturday. To my surprise, I had the entire length of the river to myself. Water 73 degrees, necks and combo of open tops and rings. Started slow, like one crab in 25 pulls, but once the sun came up and the current flipped to incoming, it was on. Had 12 and 13 crabs in two consecutive pulls. Ended with an almost bushel, 76 crabs in 4 hours, ranging 5.5 - 6.5. Not huge, but full and really sweet!

Nice looking basket! Glad you were able to get on them...

Since someone ate crabs, others must have eaten spiders as well.  However, they were not tasty.
So afterwards, people stopped eating them.   These people deserve our heartfelt gratitude  Smiley
