is there a law or reg about cleaning your crabs  as you catch them and then storing in a cooler with ice? how would the law know what size they are or were? on another site some guys are talking about this , i just dont think it would be acceptable from the man!!!!!!!! any documentation on this? thanks bb

  i asked the wardens at nacote  creek  office that very question - i was told it was not legal
   to do that as there is no way of proving what size they are and you would get written up

What the ancient mariner said. They'll ticket every one of them if you clean it (if the mood strikes them). I was going to do that and save the shells, like the racks on a party boat but was told it didn't matter. Ticket, ticket.
