 help

Me and some buddies will be coming back from Hatteras via the Swan Quarter ferry and would like to stop at Mattamuskeet to try a little crabbing.  Can anyone give us a little advice as far as a good spot to try?  By searching the forum, it seems as though the Waupoppin canal locks are a good place to try.  Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated by this novice crabber.

My advice is bring plenty of bug spray. Those pesky mosiquitos are horrible. Need to make sure the women and children are safe. laugh laugh laugh Actually this is the best time to try all the canals, my kids and I are going this weekend. I'm all geared up got the necks and thighs oh  trying something different chunks of  jumping mullet. Well good luck, and remember if on the refuge part you can only keep 1 dz. per person.
