Cheesy  Beaver Dam Boat Rentals located in Newport NJ  856-447-3633 are bringing in the crabs.  It is a good early run on crabs, and everyone that is going out from there is getting at least 1/2 to 2 bushel of crabs in one (1) visit.  The crabs are large, I was so suprised for this time of the year.  The family had a WONDERFUL TIME.  The staff was so helpful and experienced.  Go there you will love it.  The prices were GREAT!

Stevecrabman: Looks like it's due east of Bombay Hook NWR.  Has anyone from DE ever run across the river puttin in either at Woodland Beach or Port Mahon?  I have an 18' War Eagle w/90 Evinrude.  (Have Traps will Travel) On a calm day it might be doable.  I've been out to Ship John Light.  Looks like the creek might be a little run though.  Your thoughts?
What are the NJ REGS?

Stevecrabman,
C'mon. Are you pulling my leg. It's been dead down there for 3+ years. That's great news to hear they're back in the area. I grew up crabbing there.....20+ years. Then i was inroduced to crabbing on the Mullica and haven't been back. Hey, maybe it's time to get back down there. Do they have a ramp...to put your boat in or is it just rentals?

Cheesy  Yes, Beaver Dam Boat Rentals does have a boat ramp, but call first for the tide schedules.  It would be a long ride from Ship John and further.  As of today, the crabs are still running good.  Ask me again for the update for the crab run at Beaver Dam, Newport, NJ  PS Your right the crabbing hasn't been that great in the past few yrs, but they are coming on strong right now.

Don't you have to get towed out at Beaver Dam? I prefer motor boat rentals at Dividing Creek...Now those people are nice!!!
