Well gang it's that time of year for my annual crab predictions. THIS IS GOING TO BE A BANNER YEAR! Look for larger crabs this year with 40-48 crabs in the Wye, EB and Kent Narrows area to fill a bushel. With the number of juvenile crabs that were out their last year they are ready to graduate to what one of my buddies calls MUMBOS. The geese were headed back North in droves last night which leads me to believe that you should get out earlier this year. The rivers and creeks at the mouths should provide for some early to mid April action even in the Wye and Miles areas. I do believe that even the Gunpowder will turn on by mid June.
BTW, look for retail prices to be at $200 - $250 for the holidays.
See you on the water fellas.

I think Slayer is a little too optimistic, given the situation the crab stocks are in. Probably gonna be more like about the same as last 10-12 years... you gotta go find 'em.

Greg, it seems to me that other members here have no problem finding more then 16 crabs. Right Kirby? You come up with this hairbrained prediction every year. Every year, nothing really turns on until mid to late June. The Gunpowder never turns on before mid July and the last few years it's been more like mid August. The crab stocks are sucking wind and prices are high. Kirby eats only cheeseburgers, so he can't back you up.

last year he was all talk about crabs at the ramp in June... did they ever really come to the ramp? I don't know, I think he's been drinking, but I do like his predictions. April talk is nuts for the middle bay.
