My father in laws has the same type of engine(same year too) but with around 11,000 hrs on it. But it's used daily for pulling pots and during off crab season pulling nets with the occasional fishing trip.

2005 Honda 90 HP.  179 hours.  Man some of you guys get a lot of time off.  I wish I could use my boat more than I do but a bushel is enough for me.  3 hours generally is more than enough time to catch my fill and I really don't try to go for 2 bushels any more because I don't need that many.  Last year I saved 23 lbs. of crab meat for the winter and so far this year I have put up about 9 lbs.  This year the crabbing has not been so hot but I still get at least a 1/2 bushel or so and I am content with that.  Just my opinion but Honda is the way to go.  Real quiet and they sip not gulp your gas.  My last motor didn't have an hours gage hooked up but I guess it died with about 2000 hours on it.  I would hope I get at least the same out of this Honda!
