Captain Bruce just helped out with one and I believe the way they did it was a prize for the biggest crab and also it didn't go by who got the most, it went by the heaviest 12 crabs I believe, don't quote me on that but I will see if I can find that website with all their rules and maybe we could do something close to that. Because we don't want anyone breakin' any laws now do we...................

Capt. Bruce's tourney 9/9 @ Charlestown Riverfest was cancelled due to lack of participants.

we could do many different things, like a party afterwards everyone shares, or host a party next day witht he crabs donating monies to this site, just something we'd all have to agree on, and I like the idea of no females, but it would be difficult to do the most caught being if two licensed crabbers go vs 1 licensed in another boat

Guys we got all winter to discuss and set up

Well, I hv no qualm on largest crab caught but a tournament that encourage most caught equates to more females & small keepers being kept and off the ocean floor.

That's also my opinion too  ... Grin
why no females if they are mature they have already reproduced.

Yes.    We do one at the Assault on Patcong Creek each year.   This year's winners were Flounderpounder and Double-D Crabber.
