are there an places that you can crab off of rt.539 before you get into tuckerton?? been crabbing all of tuckerton this summer from rt 72 to mystic isles. would like to try someplace new. any info would be highly appreciated.

Well, Rt. 539 runs straight through Tuckerton, crosses Rt.9, and goes out to a community park on the LEH with benches and a bulkhead. I have seen people crabbing there. After you cross Rt.9 you will pass a lot of marinas, they are private, and you would probably have to ask someone for permission to crab from their dock or slip. There are a couple bait shops too, ask there. The only public crabbing area is, again, at the very end of Rt. 539.
