heads up, i had a little problem with my new Yamy the other day..  it ran fine at speed but would not stay running at anything below about a quarter throttle.  Later I found that I forgot to open the fuel tank breather..  Wink

Yeah, I had the same problem on my new yamaha 15 HP... duh.. open the gas tank breather. man the tank was all sucked in.  I opened it up and it hissed for a couple of minutes.  BTW, I thought G3's were made by Fischer boats.  I could be wrong though.  Nice crabbing rig.  Big, wide and v bottom wil handle the water well.  40 HP on there is going to be a bit scary at full throttle unless you balance out your load.  you actually may want to keep some weight up front.  I bet she will fly though. very nice crabbing rig....

BTW, I thought G3's were made by Fischer boats.

Is Fischer related to Yamaha?  When I went on G3boats.com it says "A Yamaha Boat Company" so I just figured they owned it.  (<--Not being sarcastic)   Is it possible they are made by Fischer but exclusivly powered by Yamaha?

Thanks,  the 40 is more than what I'll problably ever use with the wife and kids onboard and I considered going smaller but I figured if I ever really needed the extra HP I'd rather have it now than regret it later. Besides, mostly everybody I know has told me they've needed a tow at least once in their life on the water and I'd like to be able to help and not put to much strain on the motor.  As far as the size, I was told you can never have too much boat Wink
