Ta, that is a great find. Bet the guy thought with the price of oil going so high it was a good time to get rid of it.

I'll help y'all out: it's a propane-heated turkey deep-fryer. It was a fad about three years ago to deep-fry turkeys instead of roasting them. South of the Mason & Dixon line, it's used as a redneck washing machine.

There is and old post on here somewhere, with pic's, that shows how to raise the basket.. If I remember correctly, the guy drilled some holes and put SS bolts in as feet..

Use 3 or 4 ss bolts, washers and nuts. Mount them through he bottom to make legs out of them. They will outlast the aluminum pot and basket.

don't even need to drill holes. 3/8" or 1/2" bolts

Try to use round-headed carriage bolts instead of hex-heads. The hex heads will scratch the pot up pretty good.

hey tat - was that trash sitting on the guy's patio in his back yard
nah - probably got it as a gift and really didn't want it.
I got a brand new Movado watch that way - they got it as a wedding gift and they didn't want it. brand new in the box
PS - my HOA is having a dumpster drop off to clean up the neighborhood. and these folks around here will toss $500 tredmills etc. Guess who is going to be there with his pick up truck
