Hey everyone-

Just a quick post - took my little girl to the 17th Annual Kids Fishing Day in New Smyrna Beach at Riverside Park on Sunday - It started off really raining hard but after about 45 minutes it passed over but left some nice cloud cover to keep the heat down-  there were a ton of kids and ton of little grunts getting pulled out of the inlet -  while i watched the kids fish, i dropped some frozen shrimp ( the free bait provided by the sponsors - thanks! haha) on fishing line and ended up pulling up about 10 decent sized crabs.  I threw them all back, but there were some nice sooks ( 2 sponge) and a few jimmys - one of which got me on the thumb and held on tight- that gave the kids a good laugh laugh

oh- and my little one tied for 3rd place in her age group with a 1/2lb grunt! woohoo!  It was her first tournament ever, and i think she is hooked!  Well just wanted to share, hope everyone is having a good week!  good fishing to all!

special thanks to Fishn n' Huntn Magazine and all the other sponsors for a great day!

take it easy...
