The Navesink has been slow the last week or two.  There isn't really any telling when it's going to pickup.  It seems crabbing has been better further south.

I would recommend heading south as well.  I've been to the Navesink just last Friday, and it wasn't good.  If you don't mind driving, and want a boat, Dividing Creek has some opportunities, as well as Strathmere.

Dock's Outfitters on the Barnegat also seems to be having its share of luck as well.

The crabbing is great all over NJ. I was up in the Red Bank area two weeks ago, a BCA friend and I saw crabs everywhere and caught more than a bushel very quickly.

Had to take a picture of these two guys at Red Bank Marina today!  What a catch.  I think they are putting this on their bulletin board.
