Just returned from a long week in good ole OC!!! I had asked you guys 2 weeks ago for a report and if I should take the gear. Well I am glad I did. ME and my bro Feddog82 did some fishing and such but the crabbing was the excitement. He made it out twice I made it three times. CRABS EVERYWHERE!!! Lots of action. About 3 dozen keepers each time out. Crabs up tp 6 1/2". Lots of jimmies. Water temp was about 84-85 degrees behind St. Martins island. Most crabs where in about 4 ft of water. Had tons of throw backs but what we kept were worth it. All nice and heavy. Would have busheled out each day if it wasn't for the wind and jerks pulling their tubes everywhere!!!!!!!!!

Well it was fun. I got some pics and I'll get them up soon!!! Thanks for talking me into taking the gear guys!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Pinchy, I honestly didn't see anyone out there crabbing besides us so I am not sure about the trot line. My bro feddog82 told me we were only allowed 25 traps there though so that was all we used. Feel free to pm him and see if he knows more than I. Besides that you are allowed to keep sooks if you like and size limit is only 5" down there.

Yes, females are allowed on the ocean side. Not in the chesapeake though. So, yes....you do spot maybe 3 or 4 sooks in there.

I guess you never saw the commercial. I don't watch tv. I watch old episodes of Adam-12 MacGyver, classic westerns, etc. on the internet. They have these commercials that state that you shouldn't say things like that on the net.
