We were in Chincoteague, VA for vacation last week during the Pony Swim.  A frind of the family taught us how to line crab from the dock behind the house we stayed at.  We ended up buying two pots and dropped them from a canoe.  We did alright for some guys that had no clue what we were doing...we looked up the regs online...the house had free wireless...so we were in regs, but as for finding crab...we knew (and still know) very little to nothing.  So...I'm here to learn.  I live in Virginia Beach, I've been reading some of the locations for line crabbing, but where to start dropping our pots?  Thanks.

This is the place to learn for sure.  As for places to drop pots in VA Beach, Crabguy will be along to help you there.  Plus we got a few members in your area too.  You can find crab in Chincoteague everywhere.  On the Chesapeake side of ESVA it is a little harder to stay on top of them.

BTW,  I thought that haircut looked farmilair.  Thanks for doing the job you do.  And again, Welcome to the BCA.  Cool

One other question...is there anywhere in Virginia Beach to buy supplies for building pots?  (i.e. Cull Rings).

Thanks,

CRABGUY,
Are you saying that I should drop my pots at Locks Park?  I mean, that would be cool to not have to paddle (canoe) to drop then back again to pick up.  I'll try it this coming weekend...my wife will be out of town, so I'll probably be out there most of the day.  Thanks for the tip.
