  HIT THE FLATS THURS MORN     only 4 crabs - but at least 16 cow nosed rays    -   are they eating
  the crabs  i know  they eat clams  - all in all not a wasted day - two limits of clams  and some  ribbed  mussels   yum  - every day cannot be a diamond - but some  a Pearl

50-60LB ray caught today.  It was light brown no top, with spots, and cownose ray's are usually dark brown and a flat color.  So, not sure if this was a cownose or something similar.

Very well could be eating the crabs too!!  Mostly like bivalve mollusks, but certainly won't turn their noses up at crabs!!  Few large schools of them moving through the bay and they can devour many a clam bed.

Lavallette area...only three keepers so I took the kids tubing.  A great day on the water.  I hope the crabbing gets better.
