At least according to this article. http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008807220365 . Pollution is a big problem in Delaware and for some reason the government can't admit it. According to this list from the Delaware DNR there is not much safe in Delaware http://www.fw.delaware.gov/Fisheries/Documents/DE%20Fish%20Advisory%20Chart%202008%20final.pdf and you don't see them doing much to clean it up.

Hey Shack - for what it's worth, by my own sporadic observations, there are a lot fewer boats out in south NJ than there were at this time last year. If gas prices come down (prediction - $3.50ish by September, $3.00ish by end of the year), then you will see more boat traffic. Cheesy

In truth, the Delaware is much cleaner than it was even 10 years ago. Problem is, heavy metals like mercury, Pb from leaded gasoline and chemicals like PCBs are very persistent. Sad

Pinchy ,

I meant that when people see/read that article they are going to swarm to the Del Bay.   The Inquirer ran an article a few years back commenting on an increase in the crab population, and a lot of "weekend warriors" hit the bay are big time....
