This is a great forum!  Being completely new to crabbing, I appreciate all of the advice available on this site.
I will be in the Va. Beach area with my family later this month, and plan to try my luck crabbing at Great Bridge Locks.  My questions for anybody who knows the area: Are there designated areas for crabbing?  Is there a pier?  Is the park/crabbing area usually crowded, or is there plenty of room for everybody?  I,m new at this, and I don't want to get in anybody's way while i'm learning.
Thanks.

IT WILL TAKE YOU SOME LOOKIN TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET OVER THERE

Thanks for your help!  I just recieved my traps from Capt. Bruce, and I can't wait to try them.  I don't know much about crabbing yet, but I do know about building things, and I can tell that Capt. Bruce builds a quality trap.

One more question, on a different forum, some guy said that crabs from the ICW in Chesapeake are not safe to eat Huh.  Has anybody here ever had a problem with them?

Thanks.
