Also, we wanted to go to Lake Mattamuskeet for the bigunz, but mapquest was saying over 2 hour drive from Avon, one way, so we passed up on it. Maybe we will try to go another time we are down.

Welcome.  Where in PA are you from. I am fromn the central part. I also love the OBX too, next time try the old emergency ferry dock in Rodanthe. The first time I went there really good but lots of small ones. The next time not even a bite. Huh

I don't know the name of the road, but it is just across from the lifesaving staion there in Rodanthe. BTW, I am from central pa west of Sunbury, and about 45 miles East of Penn State. Good Luck crabbin.
