hey folks,
  i'm new to the site,but have gone crabbing often, usually in august. i was wondering how late the season goes into the fall in the toms river area.actually was thinking of this week, and where a goood spot for this time of year might be. also, does anybody know if old earl and the wheelhouse marina is still there?would really appreciate some input.

    there is docking   but only the people who have a boat there  can use the ramp  Huh Huh  that SUCKS 
      plus  the apts  are empty  and  one is their office  Shocked Shocked

It was a good mid point to launch from in the bay. With a slowboat like mine, you could reach across to Goodluck point in short time, travel south to the Flats and Tice's, giving you a good chance to run over some of those crazy old clammers oops thinking2 toilet, or north to the bridges if they were climbing the pilings. Anytime the "State" takes over a commercial enterprise, they muck it up. Just look at Monmouth Park Race Track in the past 20 years.
