Recalled seeing mention in Al Ristori's column from the Star Ledger about a possible state record.  I e-mailed him and here was his response:

Lee: That crab was measured at Crabby's Tackle in Keyport, but I haven't heard anything from the state so far as to whether it's been accepted.

Hello Al,

A couple of months back I recall that you mentioned in your column something about a possible NJ record Blueclaw Crab.

Can you provide me any additional detail ?

Thank You, in advance.

I have not been able to locate the original article.  However, 8 3/4" sticks in my mind.

Simce this was reported from Keyport, my assumption is that it most likely came from Cheesequake, Matawan or Morgan Creeks.
