Gotch Bf, but if its the only crab in the tank why would it have to be aggresive. Just like deer, if two buck meet they battle for dominance, but if a buck has no match he has no idea if he is big or small. Maybe itws that way with crabs, if he is the only one in the tank of course he is going to seem and act like big [shiz].

I think they are looking for food or something, I guess its the way of the crab.

Yes it is another thing I have not finished  Cry I want to get one but I know I wont have a steady income of money to pay for the food over a long period of time. I plan on starting it up once I get a part time job when I am older.

I cant believe how clean your tanks are. Very nice and tons of devotion. My son has a 20' wall of tanks in our basement from 20-75 gallons each and it is alot of work. His would never all be that clean at once. Great job.

I love the late summer and fall. We are over the hump now. Things start to slow down. The vacationers start to leave and traffic starts getting back to normal. The ducks are going to be coming in and the crabs are the biggest and heaviest of the year.

Jack thanks for the pics.  must be nice to have time on your hands to swim with the fishies...well at least watch the fishies.  Maybe I should get an aquarium for my cube at work....I could say it provides therapeutic value....Are you going to eat the crabs come spring....?   Roll Eyes Grin

Now all you need to do is put those two crabs together and let nature take it's course.

Of course that will probably result in the Jimmy eating the Sally, but it's how God intended it.    Grin

Jack could be breeding an intire fresh water blue crab species, and let them breed out west so all the crabbers would move out west. Jack would have the hole VA to himself.

Do you know if they taste any different? she only needs one claw...

What is the process of getting them to stay alive? do you gradually lower the amount of salt?

You need to start by not putting them in a steamy environment after covering them with JO #2.    That will help them live longer.
