Wanted to ask for any good spots to handline around Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo area. I tried 2 years at the emergency ferry dock across from the lifesaving station but very few keepers the first time and not a crab the second time. I don't want to drive forever up to manteo, just looking for some good spots in my area. Also I have to ring traps. Can I use them or do I need a license. I am getting the saltwater fishing license. Thanks Guys.

Ditto Gene... Spent time in Salvo and the only crabs you are going to trap or handline from shore arn't worth a dam.  Go to the Lake ( Matamuskett) or Collington bridge or better yet go see Gene. Wink

Gene,
So my family and I are gonna be staying in Kitty Hawk at the end of June. About how far away are you from there? What kind of crab fishing do you offer? Sorry about naivety as I just started looking into crabbing as a single day adventure for my family while we are down there.

Thanks,
Nick

Wow that is pretty darn close. Do you still take people on to go out crabbing with you? We have 6 adults who would love to spend a day doing something we have never done before and would love to work for it. Please let me know, as I am intrigued. Haha.

Hey Mr. Gene that sounds like a great service, do you do it during the entire summer!  Can I make a reservation or is it on a first come first served basis?

Thanks for any info!

The next trip out will be tomorrow morning at 6 AM.. The cost of the trips are still low priced, and as cheap as any charter you'll ever find anywhere.. Wink    $0.00 Roll Eyes
