going down to the banks friday

going down to the banks friday night going to stay in waves. I have a bass boat that I normally crab out of in the upper bay that I would love to take down but don't know if I want to put the trailer through the punishment of the trip down 95 and the saltwater once down there (trailer is just painted tube not galvinized). I have another small boat with a 4hp motor (coleman crawdad) that my dad and I were thinking about towing down to use in the sound. Thought about launching at Pea Island a day or 2 and take the crab traps and a fishing rod or 2 just to play. What you guys think? Take it along or leave it?

Take it !!!!! I hauled my 15' jon down the last 3 years..Its a blast..Never crabbed because we stay really far down..Just fish..Nice way to get away and explore also..Just make sure you have an extra spare tire..and lube the bearings...I was running 70-80 mph way down and back with small trailer tires..TAKE IT !! The bass boat. oregon inlet would be good also..
