me and my wife will be on St. Simons the third week in April and were wondering if the crabbing would be good this time of year seeing that we have had some crazy weather this year in Ga. has anyone been catching anything so far?

You can crab at the pier down at the village on St. Simons Island. On the causeway there are several bridges that cross small creeks that you also can crab. The crabs will be moving as the water begins to warm up. You can crab at the pier as the rest of the family can shop or enjoy the shaded playground overlooking the ocean and pier.

I recommend crabbing on the causeway at that time of year. The crabs should be running by then. You will probably have luck on the pier at low tide too.

You will enjoy St. Simons Island. Make a trip to the north end of the island to Gould's Inlet to fish. I am just up the coast at Shellman Bluff in McIntosh County. About a 45 minute drive from St. Simons.
