My wife and I are visiting late April and with her being a New Zealander, she wants to see if all the stories I told about Virginia Beach and Cape Charles Crabbing are still true?

My question is, I know it will be early in the season but is there still a good spot near Atlantic Avenue near the Rudee inlet not far from the Naval Amphibious Base that we can crab from a bridge or pier.  Or someplace better?  How about the Chesapeake Bay and Bridge Island also?

Where can I get the small open top collapsible crab pots in the area?   Thanks for any help on this.

 Smiley

Thanks for the info.  What about the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel Island?  Can you crab from there?

You can try 4th View Street pier. If the crabs are not biting you can fish. They have a restaurant on the pier also.
