Well, I don't know about his catch but I did extremely well last weekend, caught close to 3 bushels but only 1 bushel of keepers.

The crabs are out there and are hungry!

It depends on the location, weather, bait, equipement, skill, and a little luck on how well your catch will be.

If he says he did well, take his word on it.  Unless you were the boat next to him and seen his catch.

I agree.  I had similar results on Monday and have the pics to prove it.  You don't even need to have 30 traps to catch em as long as you know where.  I have no problem if someone doesn't want to give up their favorite crabbing spot either.

I don't want exact location either, just a general area. Southern MD is a large area.

How about pics, got any?

I heard that they are doing well in the Little Choptank.

Hi everyone,  i am from york pa and fairly new to the crabbing thing. I started crabbing late last season and only been introduced to 1 area (crab alley creek) so far. I have an oppertunity to go this week on friday, does anyone know if it is worth the drive there or can somebody introduce me to another spot worth while. Please keep in mind i only have 12ft jon boat. Also if i go to crab alley creek and crabs are slow is worth it to try fishing and what bait should i bring.  Any help would be great.

Read through the MD crabbing section and check out the reports from the eastern shore.  there seems to be good catches around the choptank, eastern bay, cox creek etc.  there are also a few catches on the western shore but it seems like the bulk of reports are from the eastern side of the bay.
