Hey Guys

Just wanted to post and see if there was many other's on the site that crab from a kayak .. I took mine out last Fri and Saturday and had a blast ... Slowly gliding up to pull my traps up .. was great to beable to get to some water where no one was crabbing .. The Kayak gives you so much more water to explore.

I have a SOT which makes it a bit easier to crab ...  Any other kayak crabbers ??   Here is a pic from sitting on kayak coming up to my floats for the traps.

Count me in!  I just posted a report from my kayak trip last Tuesday.  It was the highlight of my vacation... not counting the beach cuties.  Grin  Good luck out there.

I kayak crab a lot.  Where I live there is a free kayak-and-canoe dock right under 2 good-sized bridges. I go out at low tide, scoop them off the pilings, and dump them in a floating basket- no bait required and I get a lot of softshells.

I wouldn't sell it until you are 100% sure that boat you bought is seaworthy and turnkey.   Wink

I have found some very nice boats, that don't need any work that I can afford. I am also going to check out if my family that owns a boat dealership has any cheap boats.

A boat,  Grin a 15-19' duel console with a more open back to fish. Perferably an open bow, and an outboard would be nice. Less maintnence then I/O.
