Any Advice For Bulls Bay SC?

 plan on doing some fishing and crabbing at Bulls Bay in a week or two.. will load at Buck Hall Landing on the ICW(about a mile south of McClellanville)... any advice on where to drop the 4 pots while my buddy and I do some fishing around the creeks at Bulls Bay?... would the ICW, the bay or in the creeks be better to drop them?

 or just drop-em across from the landing and go fishing?.. LOL


I've fished a few times there but have never crabbed

should I check them every couple of hours?

sorry for all the stupid questions

  I'm such a newbie of ignorance here and have no idea where to start to drop them but am excited to try to bring in as many crabs home as possible seeing it's going to be over a 300 mile round trip all in a one day deal

1 day from dawn to whenever we get tired... but will be going back a few times this fall to shrimp too

I lived in N.Charleston for 25 years and have fished Bulls Bay a few times and shrimped there once at night.. they were huge

but have never crabbed there

i would spend the time fishing.....put the pots in right in front of buck hall[icw]......buy some crabs at mc.ville...
