We go to Everglades City several times a year just to sit on the docks and eat Stone Crab Claws dipped in a nice Mustard sauce with Conch Chowder. Fresh Grouper and Conch comes in those docks also. Great Conch Fritters and Fried Grouper.

I didnt know way up north in Azello was Stone Crab turf.  Nice rig.

I love the late summer and fall. We are over the hump now. Things start to slow down. The vacationers start to leave and traffic starts getting back to normal. The ducks are going to be coming in and the crabs are the biggest and heaviest of the year.

I'll try, traps are 14 1/2 " sq. by 12" height. Lid with funnel is on top and aprox. 50 lbs concrete for bottom. Traps are made of wood or plastic. Most of us are replacing our wood with plastic.

Thinking about it more; They prefer dark "nooks" and are found in deep water ?
