    tuesday  was  the  last trip  in the canoe for the yr to the honey   hole  for  clams - Grin great day  no one  out    Cheesy  had  the area  all to my  self  laugh  a  limit  of  clams   150  and  10 doz  mussels   Roll Eyes-   the  wind  never  let up  and the water  temp  was  65  %    next its  crabs  out of  my garvey  - then  clammin the seasonal  areas  -   obtw   did i say  it  was  wet suit  time   
                                                                 oc

       see ya down the  bay

Nice going OCM.  I need to look into doing a little clamming.  Haven't done it since I was a kid....  And yes everyone there were clams when I was a kid.  Grin

                  they  are  ribbed mussels   the  blue  one  are  out  on the rocks  in the barny  inlet
                   but  we  also  have  soft shell  clams  ( piss clams )    every once in a while
                    some  sedge  oysters  are found    but  there  are  more  down the  way from  here
                  obtw  i  raked  several  clams  that we seeded  by  reclam the  bay   the  shell has
                  different   color   ill post a pic  if  i  can
                                                                        oc

Great report OC, got to love the Barnegat clams.  Good luck with the colder weather moving in.
