I am going to waikiki this week and am trying to find a place to crab.  I scoured the internet but can't find much info.  I know from past experience that the hawaiians hold their cards close to their chest.  I have seen info about the samoan crab, and I'll crab for that one or any other edible crab.  Any help would be great- where - bait - ect.....  thanks!!

I just moved back to Houston after residing on the island of Oahu for about 15 years. I have personally caught about 6 samoan crabs. The largest one around 4 pounds. The best places to set traps or nets for these are around the backsides of the ammo dumps in waipahu in pearl harbor. That's all I'm going to say about that for now. If you need a little more info feel free to PM me.

I've done a lot of crabbing for Samoan crabs on the island of Kauai.
