Hi,
I'm from the Chesapeake Bay area in Maryland and I'm visiting Frisco in November. I have a commercial license in Md. I wanted to have some fun with the kids crabbing. We're staying on a canal so I was wondering about any positive reports about chicken neck'in or maybe bull lips on strings or maybe even a few traps or a few pots off of the pier? Also we're near the shallows on the sound and I was thinking about claming with a rake? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I also hear some small drum and trout are in the canal?
Thanks to all.

I am aware this is an old topic, but came across it looking around for information about crabbing charters. This website: obxcrabbing.com, offers 2-4 hour charters for up to 6 people.

Seen their ad on craigslist I believe, don't know of them......BUT if interested call Gene (OBX CRABS @ HALF-FAST SEAFOOD 252 202 6469) Pretty sure he'll hook you up (no pun) for a crabbing trip.
