Crabbing report for Daytona beach

Woke up really late. Headed over to daytona beach with my girlfriend around 2ish. Just figured I would chill on the dock and maybe catch a few crab, which was exactly what we did. Tried 2 spots. First one was my usual spot where I usually do pretty well, but the only problem was there were a bunch of people there crabbing already, so I didnt want to piss them off...They were doing pretty well too. Had a few dozen nice size crab in a couple hours. Went to a second spot a bit farther north of daytona and managed to catch 8 good size crab and a bunch of throwbacks in an hour. Started raining, so we called it quits. Good news is the crab are there. Bad news is I have to get up at 4am to go catch them...haha.
P.S. I caught 2 stone crab as well... and yes, I threw them back without taking a claw, even though I wanted too.

Was actually a really bad catch...loololol. I was trying out different spots around the area, so I wasnt more interested in catching that many crab, as I was finding a good spot to catch crab in the future. I found 2 really great spots that I will be going back to for sure. Dunno If I will be able to get out again before I head back to Jersey for a month, but If I do, I certainly will post a report.
Thanks,
Matt
