trying to post pics but i keep getting message that the file is to big  :-\130 kb to 145kb how do i get them down to or below the 128kb mark as it says

Try using your photo editing software to 'resize' the photo and make it smaller. It will take a little experimenting to find what % to reduce til you get it right.

Bay Crabber -

What photo software are you using?  Some of them have "Save For The Web" as a File command which automatically reduces a large image for posting or e-mailing.  If you resize the photo manually be sure to check "Maintain Proportions" or a similar command to avoid distortion.  Just be sure to name the Web image something different when you save it so you don't overwrite your original photo.  (I always put a "w" at the end of the file name, i.e., boatpic1.jpg becomes boatpic1w.jpg).  I always automatically resize photos to 400 pixtels on the longer axis and then select Save For The Web to get them ready for posting.  They usually end up as less than 50KB which is good enough for the Web.

bay crabber, right click on the picture you are posting( from My Pictures) then click on resize image. Choose small image size. Then double click on the new picture. That image will attach to the post.
