Hello again everyone. If I go to Red Bank is there a place to crab from the shore. I don't have or know anyone with a boat, and I am by myself so renting one is not worth it. Once again any help with this I am very thankful.

Don,

I have lived by Navesink and crabbled whole life here. I know all of the spots and can't think of really one decent spot to crab right by the Red Bank Marina area.

However I do know a good spot on the Navesink a few miles up the river on the Oceanic Bridge. If you google the Oceanic Bridge in Rumson/Middletown, on the NE side of the bridge which is actually in Middletown, there is a staircase there leading down to the beach where you can crab by land. You can setup boxes and drops on the shore at low/medium tide and at high you can crab from the bulkhead there. There are four or five parking spots there as well. If you have never tried it, you can also walk and scoop the there. Park there, take the stairs down to the beach and walk to your right. The water is shallow there, and the botton sandy, so if you stay shallow and safe you are fine.

Thank you everyone for your help. I am thinking of going early next week. I may give the spots a try. Good crabbing everyone.
