Hey All,

I read in today's Newsday, that starting October 1st, a saltwater fishing license will be needed to fish. Is this true for crabbing as well. I could not find any info on this on the NYS DEC site.

Let me know if you have heard/seen anything on this.

Just another way for "The Man" to work us over again......

Sucks about the new license. I just bought a rod/reel combo to try fishing for the first time.

Shellfish are exempt from the license requirements (at least for now).
