I am headed down to OC nj next week looking for a good spot to go crabbing, as I am only a tiny bit familiar with the area? Anyone know of or had any luck this season at a place where I can bring home a good days catch? Any tips on bait and all would be much appreciated. Thanks.

mostly looking for spots with a bridge or a dock, or a possible cheap boat rental for a few hours?

I'm headed there next week. I've gone crabbing in the past out of Strathmere, just south of OC, using chicken and bunker. The place to go in Strathmere is Frank's Boat Rentals. They open at 7:00am on weekdays and 6:00am on weekends
I'd like to here if anyone else has had luck there or  elsewhere?

I've caught some very nice size crabs right there in Corson's Inlet.  Good amount of Prego's back there too, you just gotta sift through them to get to the big boys!

If you want to go a bit farther south to sea isle try larsons. I went there last week and caught a [shiz] ton of crab there. going there tomorrow again too weather permitting. Just make sure to stick to the channel or you will get your boat stuck. The sea isle bay looks big, but most of it is really on a foot of water.

Go across the bridge from Ocean City and into Somers Point to Dolfin Dock.   Rent a boat from there and crab the waters between Ocean City and Somers Point on the Somers Point side...

Go to the dock at the BL Englund power plant in Beesleys Point.    Leave Ocean City via the 34th Street bridge.    Go to Route 9 and make a right to go south.    When the road ends at the construction barriers, there is a small road to the left that heads towards the plant.    The dock is there.    It's a public dock free for anyone to use.
