I haven't been posting river rail reports because it has been tame out on the GP and Bush Rivers compared to how it usually is this time of year. And while I have seen traffic and crabbers and such, it has been nothing notable. This morning though as  crossed over the GP I counted over 25 boats out there and saw a line of boats steadily coming out of Mariners loaded with crabbing gear. Looks like it is about to get crazy and if this is any indication this weekend will be a madhouse! Guess they have crabbed out the Patapsco and are now invading the GP.

That is all!

How's ol buckethead doing?

It was a little muddy looking a few days ago but is just fine now and looks like it normally does.

Buckethead is doing good. I need to get out with him and do a little refresher training to sharpen his skills before the waterfowl season begins. We both have been a bit lax since last season eneded...

Spoke to a buddy who was on the Gunpowder this morning. Said he couldn't get down the river toward the mouth because the wind was blowing too hard out of the south. He said he was picking up around 9:00 AM because of the wind and most of the crabs were too small to keep. He also said there tons of people out there and they were laying and dropping over his lines. Said he might have a 1/2 bushel when he was done. So goes the GP.
