I just got a reply to an email I sent off to the CT DEP office and if you are interested in reporting dishonest people that you see that are taking too many fish and or undersized fish and crabs then call these phone numbers.

DEP Law Enforcement at 860-424-3333

And

TIP ( Turn In Poachers ) 1-800-842-4357

This will be good info to have. I just sent an email to Mass for there best contact info. I will post it here when i get it. I was in Wareham Tue. and saw someone taking small female crabs, did not know who to call and they where not the type of people I was going to aproach on my own, so for my safety I let it go.

I never understood why some people keep all of the crabs that they catch,,some very small.Besides being illegal, there is just no meat on them and a waste of time cooking them.
